E.WAAAH Shop

E.WAAAH is the name of a web shop that I created to sell t-shirts, totes, and other items that I create. I designed and co-wrote the website using React and Next.js.

Check it out! I'll be launching some new items soon.

Printmaking

I have been exploring different forms of printmaking including silkscreen, risograph, and even laser-cut prints. I really enjoy mixing digital designs with more tactile materials.

The box pictured in this photograph is made from a laser-cut onto plywood. I designed the exterior of the box, which is modeled after a 17th century embroidered shawl that I saw in the Victoria and Albert Museum collection online.

Photographs

Before I studied web development I studied photography and the fine arts. I still take photographs and do different things with them. The photograph that I'm holding is from the instant-film that Fuji FP no longer produces. I have a large collection of photos on this type of film that I have been digitizing.

Things I Crave

I started taking pole dancing lessons in 2019 as an alternative way to exercise, but also to incorporate some creative movement into my life.

I have been totally hooked every since my first class and now I've been taking lessons long enough to enjoy a community of other people who pole dance. I've also gained a lot more confidence and understanding about my capabilities!
I'm constantly looking at textiles and I enjoy designing patterns for different forms. I've worked with digital embroidery, weaving, and printing on fabric.

These are pictures of a few recent textile projects that I have worked on, along with an image of lace from a museum catalog that continually inspires me.
A digital embroidery framed in a brown wooden frame. The embroidery is made up of small squares of different colors that form a geometric pattern.
A photograph of of an embroidery inside of a digital embroidery hoop. The embroidery is a geometric patter that make a fence-like structure. In the bottom left corner, a hand is visible, holding a small pair of scissors.A photograph of a book spread showing some lace. Along the bottom, there is a hand resting on top of the book.Three different woven bands sit on top of a table. Each of the bands was woven on an inkle loom by Evan Durkin. The bands are different colors and each one has a different pattern.
Photography is a huge source of inspiration for me in different ways. Whether it be taking photographs, or looking at photobooks, I'm always happy to look at images.

This is a photo I took while traveling in Greece last summer. Here, I was on my way back from climbing Skaros Rock in Santorini.

I'm new to web design, but I'm thrilled to be learning about web development tools and digital design.

If you'd like to work with me on something, I would love to hear from you!
